Opening your RESP online takes under 15 minutes.
Once your identity has been verified, you will receive a confirmation email (usually within an hour) to sign your documents electronically.

Only your banking information and your Social Insurance Number (SIN) are not saved.
To open your RESP, please have the following on hand:
- Your Social Insurance Number (SIN);
- Your contact details;
- Your bank details.
And for the child (the beneficiary):
- Their full name;
- Their date of birth;
- Their Social Insurance Number (SIN);
- The name of the responsible person*, their email and SIN.
This information will allow us to apply for government grants related to the RESP.
*The responsible person is the person who is primarily responsible for the child’s care and is eligible to receive the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) on behalf of the child.
Yes. You can still open your account by scheduling a virtual meeting with our team. You will have up to 24 months after signing to send us the SIN and keep your RESP in force.
