Our IDEO+ Conservative, Adaptive and Responsible portfolios offer an attractive savings solution for families.

Our individual Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs) have the ability to grow with your family. We have really thought of everything to make your journey as easy as possible—and optimize your financial efforts:
IDEO+ plans are individual education savings plans, meaning they are intended for one beneficiary. You can open an RESP for a child even if you are not related.

Kaleido’s IDEO+ portfolios give you total flexibility to build your education savings according to your means and goals. You can even create or adjust your monthly payments and add additional amounts yourself. A simple and accessible way to make your RESP grow whenever you want!
What’s more, there are no sales charges for our individual plans.
With IDEO+ individual RESPs, you have (almost) total freedom to manage your education savings. Thanks to our intuitive digital solutions, you can open an account, contribute, update your information, view your documents or make withdrawals for education completely independently.
And if you need advice and personalized support, our team will always be there to guide you every step of the way.
Kaleido’s scalable individual RESP management is a structured approach that adjusts investment allocation according to your child’s age:
Our commitment to investing in a more sustainable future is matched by an equally strong commitment to the performance of your savings. Responsible investing doesn’t mean sacrificing returns; on the contrary, the evidence shows that it can deliver results comparable to—or even better than— traditional investments,2 while taking into account the environmental and social issues that matter to you.

Kaleido offers individual RESPs from the IDEO+ range. They are aimed at families with a low to moderate risk tolerance:
The main difference lies in their respective responsible investment strategies. Both comply with our sustainable investment policy, but the IDEO+ Responsible plan goes further, actively seeking additional strategies to reduce carbon footprints and generate positive impacts on climate change and children’s well-being and education.
The new IDEO+ plans have no sales charges. However, they do include an annual management fee, calculated as a percentage of assets. These fees cover advisor support and plan administration.
If your child does not use their individual RESP or interrupts their studies before using all the funds, you can transfer the RESP to a sibling. Alternatively, you can close the RESP and recover your capital. Discover the various options in our article “My child is leaving school: what should I do with their RESP?”

More details on these types of RESPs, including the group RESP, can be found in our article “Understanding the three types of RESPs.”
If you want to target higher return potential, portfolios that focus more on growth (i.e., those with a higher proportion of equities) are generally the most suitable.
In practical terms, the IDEO+ Adaptive and Responsible plans both offer a happy medium between growth and stability, compared with the IDEO+ Conservative plan, which—as its name suggests—takes a more conservative approach and therefore offers lower volatility.
