Quebec City, July 29, 2025 - Kaleido Growth Inc. (“Kaleido”) is proud to present its Sustainable Investment Report for the year 2024, reflecting its continuing commitment to supporting investments with a positive impact on society. A pioneer and innovator in the field of Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs) since 1964, Kaleido has taken another step forward to quantify its responsible investment efforts.
“I am convinced that our decisions are contributing to the goal of a better world and more responsible investment practices that benefit ecosystems, young people and society as a whole,” believes Isabelle Grenier, President and CEO of Kaleido. “It is important to track the impact of our investment guidelines and quantify the effects of our actions.”
Monitoring certain United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) makes it possible to measure the tangible results of this responsible investment approach. Kaleido’s IDEO+ Responsible plan stands out in particular by explicitly integrating five thematic and impact investment principles aimed at generating positive impact in the fight against climate change and in children’s well-being and education.
The year 2024 saw a significant expansion of the responsible investment offering, with steady growth in the share of green and sustainable bonds in our portfolios and notable performance in reducing carbon intensity. At December 31, 2024:
“Our education savings plans often beat their benchmarks, sometimes by 40% or more, as in the case of IDEO+ Responsible,” says Jean-Stéphane Parent, Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer at Kaleido. “With more than $2 billion in assets under management, the mandates we assign to our portfolio managers, who are all signatories to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment, have a tangible impact, demonstrating our commitment to being an agent of change in the investment world.”
A pioneer in education savings since 1964, Kaleido has been helping families in Quebec and New Brunswick give their children a leg up on future success. Every day nearly 200 employees and representatives create brighter opportunities for youth through education savings and family coaching services.
Over the years, Kaleido has paid out more than $1 billion in educational assistance payments and savings refunds. It has over $2 billion in assets under management on behalf of over 244,000 young people. Visit kaleido.ca to learn more about our sustainable investment initiatives.
